Rachel was born in Yorkshire, England and raised in Libya and South Africa. She married John in 1984 in Oxford, and they moved to Glasgow in 1986 where they had two bonnie children. Her life of travels continued in 1994 when the family emigrated to Oregon, USA where they are living happily ever after. Rachel is a Jill-of-all-trades: she worked as a secretary (back in the days of shorthand and typewriters) in eclectic departments at both Oxford and Glasgow universities, as well as a company of Chartered Surveyors. After returning to college as a late bloomer, she worked as an addiction and mental health counselor for about ten years before burning out. She is now extremely happy being a granny-nanny to two delightful grandsons, and working part-time for Press On. In her spare time Rachel enjoys reading, traveling the world, learning about wines, writing, and likes to walk and spin. She started singing lessons during Covid19 and is now also learning to play the piano - two lifelong goals. Her son-in-law introduced her to F1 and she is hooked - but not as much as her daughter-in-law! Rachel values quality time with family, and friends. She is, despite appearances to the contrary, an introvert who relishes quiet time alone.
