Elise Molinaro

Elise is currently a third year undergrad studying Psychology, Environmental Studies, and Poverty and Human Capability Studies in western Virginia. Elise grew up running around in the woods of northeast Pennsylvania, and hasn’t managed to leave Appalachia since. She’s a big fan of peanut butter, long runs, the art of dry humor, and spontaneous moments of joy. As a self-professed tree-hugger, she finds herself continually amazed by God’s glory in creation and His grace in giving us this beautiful life and each other. She is learning to treasure connections with others and the natural world more and more everyday, and hopes to find her path pursuing the heart of God by caring for His people and the earth He has given us.

Take a Breath

“God is in the stillness – if we listen enough and enter the quiet spaces to hear him. And it’s not about finding God. It’s about finding the peace within ourselves that allows us to see that he is, and will always be, there. It’s about letting go. Letting go of our need to control our lives. Letting go of the “productivity” mindset that has been ingrained in us for as long as we can remember. Letting go and learning that it’s okay to… breathe.”
