I grew up in a busy and loving family with four younger siblings. My parents and all my close relatives were Christadelphians, and I enjoyed the security of friendships within the church community.

Margaret and I married in Southampton in 1965 and soon we had three sons, followed a few years uslater by a daughter. They have provided us with nine lovely grandchildren, the eldest of whom has recently married. Work took us from Southampton to Northern Ireland and then to Cheshire before we moved to Dorset nineteen years’ ago.

I have always been interested in problem solving – Margaret says I should have been a detective – and this fed into my career as a town planner. It also fed into the exploration of neglected aspects of Bible study that have broadened my thinking and strengthened the faith that Margaret and I share.

These refreshing and reassuring conclusions encourage us to accept God’s help to reflect his holy character in our lives.”
